While the Israel-Hamas war continued with thousands of civilians losing their lives and livelihoods, a New York Hospital doctor named Dana Diab was fired from her job.  Dana Diab reportedly took to her Instagram handle and celebrated the Hamas terror attack on Israel's Nova Music Festival.  Dana Diab's Instagram post on Hamas soon became viral on social media and a section of netizens demanded the NYC hospital administration to fire her. 

 

Dana Diab on her Instagram wrote, "Zionist settlers getting a taste of their own medicine" while sharing a picture of Hamas terror attack on Israel's Nova Music Festival.  Now, the question arises who is Dana Diab? Below is what we know so far about her- 

 

Who is Dana Diab?

 

Dr Dana Diab is an ER physician at Lenox Hill Hospital, a non-profit medical centre in New York City. As per reports, Dr Dana Diab graduated from Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Centre. She is a Palestinian but was raised in Qatar. A US media portal contacted Dr. Dana Diab who stated that t her post shouldn’t disqualify her from treating any U.S. patients. It is pertinent to mention here that after Doctor Dana Dias post went viral on social media she changed the settings on her Instagram account and made it private. 

 

As per reports, Dana she graduated from medical school in Qatar in 2016 and moved stateside to study internal medicine at a Cleveland hospital. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Brookdale in 2020. Diab’s bio page on NYC Health + Hospitals’ website was removed as of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

 

Northwell Health confirmed firing Doctor Dana Diab in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter. "We've been alerted to discriminatory comments that appear to have been posted by a team member regarding the crisis in the Middle East. These views don't represent Lenox Hill Hospital & Northwell Health & go against our core values. We are investigating & taking immediate action," wrote Northwell Health. 

 

It is pertinent to mention here that Dana is not the first person who lost her job due to her support of Hamas' terror attack on Israel. Before, Dana, former adult actress Mia Khalifa was fired from a podcast deal with a Canadian podcaster. Furthermore, American adult magazine Playboy cut its ties with Mia Khalifa after she rejoiced in the Hamas terror attack.
