The Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office alleged that the former Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians star and another man were the victims of Esemonu’s schemes.
As per reports, Darcy Adanna Esemonu filed suit against Trevor Bauer in 2020, accusing him of assaulting and choking her. However, last year, the MLB star filed a countersuit, alleging he was a victim of extortion regarding a fake pregnancy, stating that she sought $1.6 million.
The court document was quoted by a US media portal in which it was observed that Darcy Esemonu "knowingly did obtain or sought to obtain property or services ... by means of a threat to in the future expose a secret or an asserted fact in a social media message or in any other manner" involving another individual.
