South Korea Racism: 'South Korea racism' is again in the spotlight after an Indian YouTuber named Deepanshu Sangwan famous as Nomadic Indian alleged of facing racism in the country based on his 'brown skin colour. Deepanshu Sangwan took to his official YouTube channel Nomadic Indian and shared a video titled, 'My Bad Experience in South Korea in Busan'. In the video, YouTuber Deepanshu Sangwan outlined South Korean Racism and shared 'uncomfortable stares' and feelings of 'alienation' he faced due to his appearance. He discussed how his brown skin seemed to draw unwanted attention and remarked, 'We’re Indians, we have brown skin—what can we do? We were born this way." "Yes, people of African descent may face challenges in India, but it’s not as widespread. We don’t give dirty looks to others," added Deepanshu Sangwan. South Korea Racism Against Indians
Notably, it is not the first case of racism that an Indian YouTuber has outlined through his video in South Korea. In 2023, an Indian YouTuber who runs a YouTube channel named 'Subtle Crazy Korea' was denied entry into multiple South Korean clubs just because he was from India. The YouTuber reportedly named Raj lives in South Korea and going by his streams he is married to a South Korean girl. Raj posted another video stating that being an Indian he was not allowed to enter clubs to celebrate New Year. Not only this, in his YouTube video, a banner was kept outside that Indians and Pakistanis don't follow rules and hence they are allowed it enter. This sparked a massive debate with netizens asking that despite being an Asian nation why South Koreans have banned Indians.
