Who is Drew Hicks?

Drew Hicks is an American YouTuber famous for his outstanding command of Hindi and Bhojpuri. Drew Hicks has carved a niche for himself in the social media sphere, particularly among Indian audiences, owing to his remarkable linguistic skills. Drew rose to fame for speaking Bhojpuri in his own unique style. Apart from making comic reels in Bhojpuri, Drew also creates content by traveling and sharing his culinary experiences in both India and the United States.

In one of the Instagram posts, Drew Hicks once wrote, "I moved to India at the age of five when my parents relocated, and Varanasi was my first home. During my 11 years in India, I travelled extensively, fostering a deep connection to the country. India is where I grew up, learned Hindi, and formed strong bonds, with friends becoming like family. Childhood memories include playing cricket, flying kites, and savouring daal and rice."

"I feel a deep connection to India for many reasons. It is the land in which I grew up and spent my formative years, but more importantly it is where many who I love, live. Many of my friends have become family, and their parents will always be my Aunties and Uncles. Most of my childhood was spent eating daal and rice, playing cricket, and flying kites; no different than the kids who lived in my neighborhood. It is tough for me to choose a favorite place in India, as it has such a diverse range of landscapes, cities and people. That being said, I'll choose a few. Kedarnath is my favorite for its beauty and Mountains, Jaisalmere my favorite for its deserts and architecture, Goa for its beaches and Delhi for its parties :) That being said, I could list 20-30 other places in India I hold near and dear to my heart, but in the end, it's my friends who are now my family, that will continue to keep me coming back. Jai Hind!"
