In the latest development over pulling down of tricolor in London, the main accused has been arrested. Pro-Khalistan supporters on 19th March 2023 pulled down the tricolor hoisted atop India’s High Commission in London. As soon as the incident surfaced, various videos of the same went viral on social media platforms. The tricolor was pulled down from India’s High Commission in London after Punjab Police launched a crackdown against Amritpal Singh and his supporters. Reportedly, Khalistan supporters and anti-national elements protested outside the High Commission in London and chanted slogans of 'Khalistan Zindabad.' Adding to this, a person tried to pull down the tricolor but failed to do so after security officials jumped in. The person who tries to pull down the flag and was later arrested has been identified as Avtar Singh Khanda.

Who is Avtar Singh Khanda?

Avtar Singh Khanda is a Pro-Khalistan supporter and also the main accused in pulling down of tricolor at India’s High Commission in London. Avtar Singh Khanda is an ISI-linked terrorist who is accused of providing IED training inside the UK Gurudwaras by Indian Intelligence Agencies. Avtar Singh Khanda is known to be very close to Waris Punjab De Chief Amritpal Singh and is also regarded as his mentor. Avtar Singh Khanda is also a trusted lieutenant of Paramjit Singh Pamma, the leader of the banned Babbar Khalsa International. Apart from this, Avtar Singh Khanda is the son of Kulwant Singh Khukrana who was a terrorist of the ‘Khalistan Liberation Force.’

After the pulling down of the tricolor at India’s High Commission in London various pictures of Avtar Singh Khanda have surfaced where he can be seen posing with Punjabi singer, actor and producer Gippy Grewal. Avtar Singh Khanda allegedly trained Amritpal Singh for 'Mission Khalistan.
