Famous Punjabi actress Daljeet Kaur died at the age of 69 due to prolonged illness. The actress has been part of some of the amazing and blockbuster movies in both Hindi and Punjabi cinema. She has played lead role in films like Putt Jattan De, Mamla Ghalal Hai, Ki Banu Duniya Da, Sarpanch and Patola.

The actress has graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. She has done diploma from National School of Film and Drama Pune. Post this, in year 1976 she did her debut with film ‘Daaz.’ She worked in more than 10 Hindi and 70 Punjabi films. Daljeet Kaur also played the character of Gippy Grewal's mother in film Singh vs Kaur.

Daljee Kaur stopped working in films after her husband passed away in a road accident. After falling ill, she moved to her brother and started living there in town of Ludhiana. Reportedly, the actress has no children.

Along with being an actress, Daljeet Kaur was also a national hockey player. She was a resident of Siliguri, West Bengal. She also has business there but then left everything due to some mental illness.
