Byju’s CEO Byju Raveendran was seen in an interview on 18th March 2023 where he revealed a shocking fact about his personal life. Byju Raveendran stated that he fell in love with a Byju student and this has come as a shocker to everyone. During a session of India Today conclave, Byju Raveendran said that he fell in love with his very own student named Divya Gokulnath who is now his wife during the classes. Raveendran said that Divya was a very inquisitive student and used to ask many questions which attracted him to her.
Raveendran during an interview stated that he used to love teaching in big auditoriums and classrooms and Divya was the only student to stay back and clarify all her doubts on the very same day. They both didn’t realize it when they fell in love with each other and started dating. Post some time, both Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath decided to get married to each other. During interview, Raveendran said, “it’s really hard to remember any particular students in auditoriums but somewhere Divya caught my attention as she used to ask a lot of questions.”
Who is Divya Gokulnath?
Divya Gokulnath is wife of Byju’s CEO Byju Raveendran. Divya Gokulnath is an Indian entrepreneur as well as an educator. She is the co-founder and director of Byju’s an educational technology company founded in 2012 in Bangalore, India. Divya has done graduation in Biotechnology from RV College of Engineering. After completing her graduation, she used to take coaching for GRE Exam course where she met her now husband Byju Raveendran who was her teacher. Later, both fell in love with each other and got married.
Talking about her personal life, Divya Gokulnath was born in Bengaluru. Her father is a nephrologist while her mother is a programming executive with the broadcasting company Doordarshan. She is the only child of her parents. Divya loves writing online blogs about education, gender differences, etc. Apart from this, she has also been an advocate for mitigating gender pay gap in India.
Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath tied the knot in the year 2009 and are proud parents of two sons.
