Jalandhar's former senior Deputy Mayor Kamaljit Singh Bhatia joined Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday. He joined the party in presence of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s presence.
Who is Kamaljit Singh Bhatia?
Kamaljit Singh Bhatia who recently joined AAP in Punjab was the former senior Deputy Mayor of Jalandhar. He is known to be the veteran leader of the city and is a well-known face in Jalandhar. Kamaljit Singh Bhatia was the senior deputy mayor for continuous 10 years. He was earlier in Shiromani Akali Dal. Kamaljit Singh Bhatia resigned from that party to join AAP.
There are speculations that after Kamaljit Singh Bhatia’s entry, AAP will have a stronghold in the city as he is a known face in Jalandhar. Along with Kamaljit Singh Bhatia, many other leaders have also joined Aam Aadmi Party but there is no official confirmation about the same.
