Hindustan Unilever today announced Rohit Jawa as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FMCG major Hindustan Unilever. Rohit Jawa will succeed Sanjiv Mehta who will be retiring after serving the company for almost a decade. Rohit Jawa has already been working in Hindustan Unilever as the Chief of Transformation for Unilever and will start his working as CEO from June 27, 2023 for the term of five years. Rohit Jawa apart from being heading the Indian market, will also be the President of Unilever South Asia. HUL announced released a statement saying that Rohit Jawa has been appointed as the whole-time director, MD & CEO after getting the approval of all shareholders. Who is Rohit Jawa?

Rohit Jawa started his career as a management trainee in Hindustan Unilever in the year 1988. He was then appointed as the EVP for North Asia & chairman for Unilever China and led a significant transformation of the company making it 3rd biggest company globally. Rohit Jawa was then appointed as the Chairman of Unilever Philippines during which it became one of the top 10 markets for Unilever globally. Talking about his education, Rohit Jawa is a graduate of St. Stephen College and later went on to complete his MBA from FMS, University of Delhi. Apart from this, he has also participated in an advanced management program at Harvard Business School.
