The entrepreneurship-based show, Shark Tank India is back with its Season 2 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. On Tuesday, Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the first promo of Shark Tank India season 2, which includes most of the previous sharks as well as a new shark.

This season Ashneer Grover (founder of BharatPe and PostPe) is not going to be a part of the Sharks’ panel. He has been replaced by Amit Jain, co-founder, and chief executive of CarDekho Group.

Amit Jain was an IIT Delhi student and is from Jaipur. He spent some time working for a corporation in Austin, Texas. Later, Amit started Car Dekho with his brother in 2007, and has turned into a 'billion-dollar company'. Along with India, Amit Jain has already been doing business in Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines.

In this season, Ashneer has been replaced. He was the founder of the fintech company BharatPe. He was fired from his job and involved in a heated debate earlier this year over alleged fraud. He was a popular choice among the crowd because of his no-nonsense attitude, but unfortunately, he and Ghazal won't be returning, even though the other sharks will.

In a release shared by Sony Entertainment Television, it has been confirmed that five sharks from the first season-Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics), and Peyush Bansal (Founder & CEO of Lenskart.com) are returning and they will be joined by Amit Jain (CEO and Co-founder- CarDekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com).

The date of the upcoming season of Shark Tank India has not been announced by the channel. It is expected to air this year, most likely in late November or early December.
