The Twitter takeover by Elon Musk has created quite a stir as the Tesla CEO went on a firing spree including the social networking site's CEO Parag Agrawal. In fact, Elon Musk reportedly fired the entire Twitter board of directors after he formally took over the global social media giant. Amidst the firing spree and rapid changes being brought by the new Twitter boss, an Indian-origin techie named Sriram Krishnan is the man who is assisting him with his Twitter rejig. Sriram Krishnan is among the few people who are inside the "war room" that Musk set up immediately after entering the Twitter headquarters. Interestingly, Sriram is also an insider as he was formerly an employee at Twitter when it was not under Elon Musk.

Now the question arises who is the Indian-born techie Sriram Krishnan? Here's what we know so far-

Indian-born techie Sriram Krishnan is the man who is assisting Elon Musk with his Twitter rejig. Taking to his Twitter handle, Krishnan, general partner at the top VC firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), revealed that he is assisting 'Chief Twit' Musk through initial changes at Twitter following his acquisition of the platform. Sriram Krishnan is a B. Tech graduate from Chennai’s Anna University and a crypto investor. Notably, Krishnan is a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, which was founded by Marc Andreessen. He continues his day job at the venture capital firm, despite taking up additional responsibilities by agreeing to help Musk . Before joining Andreessen Horowitz, he worked as a senior executive in Facebook (now Meta) and Snap. He left Facebook to head Snap's advertising division. After leaving Snap in 2017, he worked for Twitter as senior director of product.

Not only this but Krishnan is also known for hosting The Good Time Show with his wife Aarthi Ramamurthy. The show is now available on YouTube. It's a nightly show which interviews celebrities and tech bigwigs. In the past the show has featured Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Balmer and even AR Rahman. Although, on the YouTube page of the show the most post popular episodes all feature Marc Andreessen, who is Krishnan's boss at a16z.

In another massive development, Twitter boss Elon Musk on Wednesday announced that users can get their accounts verified with the new Blue plan at a price of $8. The world's richest man also said that the "price adjusted by country proportionate to purchasing power parity". Musk further mentioned the additional benefits that the users will get with the new Twitter Blue plan including, "priority in replies, mentions and search, ability to post long video and audio, half as many advertisements".
