In a massive development, Union Minister Smriti Irani lambasted the Congress Party for targetting her 18-year-old daughter Zoish Irani and mutilating her character just because she is her daughter. Union Minister Smriti Irani came under attack from the opposition after Congress party leaders alleged that the BJP leader's daughter is running an 'illegal bar' in Goa and acquired a liquor license by 'fraudulent means'.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Smriti Irani threatened to take legal action against Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera who 'publically mutilated' her daughter's character and tried to politically malign the Union Minister. Who is Zoish Irani?
As per information available in the public domain, Smriti Irani's 18-year-old daughter Zoish Irani is a second Dan black belt in karate with her own tally of national and international medals and a Limca book of record holder. Smriti Irani in one of her post had written, "Pestered about how she should be blessed to live in the reflected glory of her mother .. she smiled and carried on with what she considered her own course. When she picked the culinary arts as a career there was a murmur and she was told academics pe dhyan do .. khana toh waise bhi pakana hi hai usme kahan career banega , academically bright na ho toh Chef bano .. she carried on and scored 91% in her 12 th boards and said becoming a chef is not an option but a choice."
Zoish Irani Goa illegal bar controversy
Reportedly, Smriti Irani's family restaurant Silly Souls Cafe and Bar which is allegedly run by her 18-year-old daughter in Goa's Assagao landed in row when the Congress party accused its owners renewed the restaurant's liquor license using the name of a dead person. In fact, the Congress leaders stated that they got the information from an RTI which showed how the Union Minister's cafe acquired a liquor license by 'fraudulent means'.
As per the Print report, Narayan M Gad, the excise commissioner of Goa on 21 July had issued a show-cause notice to the restaurant after receiving a complaint from lawyer Aires Rodrigues, who stated that the owners had submitted "fraudulent and fabricated documents" to get the license.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Smriti Irani asserted that her daughter is a first-year college student and does not run any bar. Furthermore, Irani lashed out at the Gandhi family for defaming her daughter in the backdrop that ED is quizzing Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in National Herald Case.
It is pertinent to mention here that a video is doing rounds on social media in which Zoish Irani can be seen saying that she is the owner of the restaurant Silly Souls Cafe and Bar.
