Nicholas Perry, popularly known as Nikocado Avocado, is a 32-year-old, Ukrainian-born American YouTuber & influencer. He is also an internet celebrity. He is known for his mukbang videos on YouTube, where he eats different food items and interacts with his audience. Currently, he has 4.21 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and he has uploaded around 711 videos on his YouTube page.
Nicholas Perry was adopted by an American family and was raised in Pennsylvania, United States. Perry attended the Catholic University of America where he majored in Violence performance. In the year 2014, Perry started his YouTube channel named Nikocado Avocado. Initially, his videos were on vegan and lifestyle vlogs. He also uploaded musical performances.
In the Year 2016, Perry decided to post mukbang videos. He became the first American man to join the trend as his first mukbang video reached 50,000 views in just a few weeks.
On 10th May 2024, Perry posted a YouTube video where he announced that he was quitting his weight loss journey. He informed his users that he was unable to lose the target amount of weight within 2 years. However, this statement was not true.
On 6th September 2024, Perry baffled the internet as he revealed his weight loss of more than 250 pounds which is around 114 kgs. He titled his surprising video as ‘Two Steps Ahead’. This shocking video gained over 26 million views in just 2 days.
In this 25-minute long video, Peery revealed that he hid his weight loss journey from his subscribers and pranked them by uploading his pre-recorded videos on his YouTube account. He called it ‘the greatest social experiment of my entire life’. He started the video, wearing a giant panda mask on his head.
“While everybody pointed and laughed at me for over-consuming food, I was in total control the entire time. In reality, people are completely absorbed with Internet personalities and obsessively watch their content. That is where a deeper level of over-consumption lies and it’s the parallel, I wanted to make,” said Perry in his video. “Stories that permeate and linger, and infect the minds of the ants. Influence the ants. Brainwash the ants. You are the ants,” he further added.
