As a result, #ArrestPriyaMathur started to trend on X, and over 5 thousand tweets were made under it. A video of a woman was shared by a social media user on X demanding her arrest for hurting religious sentiments. The video was shared with the claims that the woman insulting religious sentiments was Priya Mathur. The social media user who shared the video on X was named Wajid Khan.
After the video went viral on social media, #ArrestPriyaMathur started to trend on social media and the woman also got death threats. Finally, Priya Mathur broke her silence and slammed Wajid Khan for sharing the video without fact-checking. As per Priya, the woman in the video is Sanjana Bharadwaj. Priya took to her X handle and wrote, "(Translated version) this someone @realwajidkhan.. They are in such a hurry to post that they write anyone's name and post it without knowing their name. Hey brother, please do some research and post. The name of the girl who is talking objectionable about Islam and Muhammad Sahib in the video is Sanjana Bhardwaj."
Not only this, Pooja Mathur assured her followers that she would take strict action against him.
