One such story is of a Travel Vlogger, Roshni Songhare. Roshni Songhare was among the 241 people who died in Air India Plane Crash that took place near Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday. On Thursday, tragedy struck India after Air India Flight AI-171, flying from Ahmedabad to London, crashed shortly after take-off. The crash occurred just minutes after the Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off around 1:38 PM, according to the DGCA. Who was Roshni Songhare?
27-year-old Roshni Songhare was a member of the cabin crew of Air India. She was also a travel influencer on Instagram and was widely followed. All 12 cabin crew members, including Songhare, lost their lives in the tragic crash. Roshni Songhare hailed from Maharashtra. Roshni Songhare's Instagram has 56K followers (while writing). Roshni Songhare's last Instagram post was uploaded by her 1 weeks back in which she posed for the camera in a gaming zone.
Roshni had only just bid farewell to her family a day earlier before heading to Ahmedabad for duty. A resident of Nav Umiya Krupa Society on Rajaji Path in Dombivli East, she lived with her father Rajendra, mother Rajshree, and brother Vignesh. The family had moved from Mumbai’s Grant Road area to Dombivli two years ago. Roshni completed her education in Mumbai and, despite financial hardships, pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant.
As per reports, her brother works in a private shipping firm, while her parents remain at home. The family's grief has been met with an outpouring of support from the local community.
Talking about the investigation around Air India Crash, the Print reported that aviation experts will carry out a probe, including the search and analysis of the black box, to ascertain the reasons that led to the Air India flight AI171 crash. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has already launched a formal investigation in line with international protocols set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Mark Martin, founder and CEO of aviation safety firm Martin consultancy, was quoted saying that a team from the Indian aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and that from every regulator where the aircraft is operated like the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board), the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency are expected to visit the crash site soon to begin the investigation.
