Earlier this month, Rumy Al-Qahtani competed in the second edition of the Miss & Mrs Global Asian beauty pageant, which took place in Malaysia this week. Rumi Al Qahtani is the first Saudi Arabian to compete in the 'Miss and Mrs Global Asian 2024'. In a viral pic, Rumy Al-Qahtani looked standing next to the Saudi flag with the Kalma Tayyab written on it. During the Miss & Mrs Global Asian, Rumy Al-Qahtani gave a brilliant performance. However, the Mrs Global Asian 2024 title was claimed by Dyan Shane Mag Abo from the Philippines. Jesseca Long of Singapore was crowned as Miss Global Asian 2024.
Rumy Al-Qahtani is 27 years old and has been adored as a cultural ambassador for her country and said that her main aim when taking part in global competitions is to raise awareness about the Kingdom and its people.
"My contributions are to learn about world cultures and to transfer our authentic Saudi culture and heritage to the world..I wore the Najdi costume and was happy because I was representing the Najd region and its popular costume was admired by the public and the press," Rumy Al-Qahtani was quoted saying.
