In a heartbreaking development, a Russian social media influencer living in China- Russian Nana died at the age of 31. Russian Nana's death took place after she fought for life for 38 days in a coma. The death Chinese influencer shocked the people there with many wondering what happened to Russian Nana or what Russian Nana's death reason. As per initial reports, Russian Nana was rushed to the hospital on March 27 after she took some painkillers to cure herself from a hangover she was having due to a few drinks. Who was Russian Nana?

 

As per reports, Russian Nana moved to study in Guizhou Province, China, in 2023. There, Russian Nana fell in love with a tattoo artist named Wang Tao and then decided to live there with him. Their love story soon brought her fame on Chinese social media as she became known as "Russian Nana". Russian Nana had over 60,000 followers on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Coming back to Russian Nana's death reason, on March 27, she and Wang Tao went out for a few drinks with friends in the afternoon. However, Nana fell ill later that evening. After sensing a nasty hangover and dizziness, the 31-year-old influencer reportedly took some painkillers and went to lie down, but was later rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious. During the days in a coma, Wang Tao shared stories of their love online and prayed for her recovery.

Notably, it is still unclear if authorities are investigating the influencer’s death and what sort of painkillers were taken. Powerful painkillers, also known as opioids, are a class of medications commonly prescribed to manage moderate to severe pain. Some examples of powerful painkillers include morphine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, and codeine.
