Bengaluru-based IT giant Wipro on Saturday announced Srinivas Pallia as the company's new MD & CEO. Srinivas Pallia's appointment came hours after its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) Thierry Delaporte resigned. As per Wipro, Thierry Delaporte served the company for four years and to pursue his passion outside the workplace, he decided to step down from his role. Who is Srinivas Pallia?
As per the official release, Srinivas Pallia has been with Wipro for over three decades and most recently served as the CEO for Americas 1, Wipro's biggest and fastest-growing strategic market. In this role, he oversaw diverse industry sectors, established their vision, and implemented growth strategies, resulting in increased market shares within these sectors. Srini is a member of the Wipro Executive Board.
Going by his LinkedIn profile, Srinivas Pallia lives in New Jersey, US. Talking about Srinivas Pallia's education, Wipro's new CEO & MD did his Masters in management studies from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He graduated from Harvard Business School’s Leading Global Businesses executive program, and the Advanced Leadership Program at McGill Executive Institute. Srinivas also has a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
