In a shocking development, a dead body was found on Wednesday morning on campus at the University of Houston main campus. As per reports, the dead body was of a student and it was discovered around 8 a.m. outside in a lower-level walkway of Agnes Arnold Hall, a building with general-purpose classrooms. After the discovery of the dead body, campus police and medical examiners responded to the scene. It was determined that there were no signs of foul play and no danger to the public. However, all classes and offices at Agnes Arnold Hall were canceled and closed on Tuesday. After the news broke out, Americans and netizens on social media started to dig into the student or started asking who was the student that died at the University of Houston.

Apart from the University, UH Black Student Union also issued a statement saying, "The Black Student Union current address to the recent events at the University of Houston." In its letter, the Black Students Union wrote, "With a heavy heart The Black Student Union is saddened to report that as of this morning on February 15th, 2023, a student at the University of Houston has passed away. There is an ongoing investigation into the incident with UHPD and the University has reported that there seems to be no indication of foul play."
