Hours after India launched Airstrikes destroying terror launchpads at 9 locations in Pakistan and PoK, Pakistani ministers headed to international media forums to disseminate propaganda around the world and portray themselves as victim. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar headed to Sky News, portraying his nation as the victim of terrorism and the so-called 'Indian Aggression'. What did Yalda Hakim ask the Pakistani minister?

Yalda fact-checked Attaullah Tarar after he alleged that there are no terror camps in Pakistan. Yalda outlined that Pakistan's current Defence Minister a few days back had admitted of sponsoring and nurturing terrorists.  During an appearance on Sky News, Tarar was denouncing New Delhi for allegedly targeting civilian areas — a claim that Hakim promptly dismantled.

"The Indian armed forces have said that they only targeted terrorist camps and not Pakistani military facilities," Hakim told the minister.

Tarar responded with a flat denial: "Let me make it very clear, there are no terrorist camps in Pakistan. Pakistan is a victim of terrorism. We are the frontline state against terrorism."

However, Hakim swiftly challenged him, pointing to an explosive admission made just days earlier by Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. "On my programme, just a week ago, your Defence Minister Khawaja Asif admitted that Pakistan has for decades had a policy of funding, backing, and using terrorist groups as proxies in the country," Hakim said. "In 2018, President Donald Trump cut military aid to Pakistan because he accused Pakistan of playing a double game," added Yalda Hakim.

Yalda also reminded the Pakistani Minister that Pakistan was on the FATF Grey List for sponsoring terrorism.
