The most-awaited historical drama series Taj: Divided by Blood has finally released Friday exclusively on Zee5. Taj: Divided by Blood is about deep secrets of Mughal Empire during Akbar’s rule. Taj: Divided By Blood features actors like Dharmendra, Naseeruddin Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sandhya Mridul, Zarina Wahab, Aashim Gulati, Taha Shah, Shubham Kumar Mehra, and last but not the least Rahul Bose. The first episode witnessed initiation of Salim & Anarkali’s love story, story of Anarkali’s captivation by Akbar and Jodha’s advice to Salim.

The first episode reveals that Anarkali was a dancer at Akbar’s court and he captivated her a really long time. Anarkali was under the captivation of emperor Akbar from the time she was 14 years old. On being Asked Akbar reveals that he imprisoned Anarkali to save the reputation of his sultanate. Also, from how they both are shown in the series, it somewhere showed that directors of series wanted to show that there was some kind of unsaid love relationship between Akbar and Anarkali.

Apart from this, when Akbar was to decide who will become the next king of his sultanate, he stated that it will not be decided based on seniority but on the capability that one has. Jodha, Akbar’s wife on hearing this told Salim that this was his only chance to become the king. Replying to his, he stated that he does not want to become the king but wants to serve people. While he was saying this, Anarkali overheard their conversation and felt a bit attracted towards Salim. Post coming out of the room, Salim saw Anarkali from a distance and it was love at first sight for him. That was the point from when their love story initiated.
