Leaders of the world on Saturday attended the historic G20 Summit in New Delhi, India. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the world leaders of 30 heads of state, and the European Union, invited guests and dignitaries, and 14 heads of international organizations. Leaders like US President Joe Biden, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Britain's PM Rishi Sunak, and ever leaders were welcomed by PM Modi himself at Bharat Mandapam. Although every world leader walked the red carpet alone according to the protocol, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva walked the G20 Red Carpet with his wife Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva. This indeed raised many eyebrows as the protocol suggests that the world leaders representing their country will be welcomed by the head of the hosting country. However, the Brazilian President decided to walk the prestigious G20 2023 Summit Red Carpet with his 57-year-old wife Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva. Now, the question arises as to why Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva accompanied the Brazilian President & his husband Luca at the G20 red carpet. Here's what we know so far-

As per reports and information received, Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva was adamant about accompanying the Brazilian President to walk on the red carpet. Therefore, the Indian authorities did not object to this as the 77-year-old Brazilian President and his 57-year-old wife Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva are VVIP guests of India. It is worth mentioning that although Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva walked the red carpet with her husband, she did not stay for the photo session with PM Modi. Notably, Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva left the frame so that the heads of the two countries follow the protocol and pose to the camera representing India and Brazil in one frame.

After the video surfaced on social media, a user wrote, "Lula had to bring his young girl to the official session? What is this? A retreat?" Another user wrote, "Obviously a retreat..check out other song and dance videos from#G20India2023" One more user wrote, "Madam Ruki hi Nahi Tasvir k Liye (madam did not stay for photo session)"

Who is Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva?

Rosangela ‘Janja’ da Silva was born in União da Vitória. Janja studied Social Science and History at the Federal University of Paraná before she worked at a hydroelectric power plant as an assistant to the Director-General and coordinator of programs backed to sustainable development.
