The renowned chart-topping rapper Lil Uzi Vert came back with their third studio album 'Pink Tape' under the labels Generation Now and Atlantic Records today, 30th June 2023 after a long 3-year hiatus from the rap scene. The rapper has been involved in the project since early 2020 and had massive success with the single “Just Wanna Rock,” which was released last year and went on to crack the top 10 on the Hot 100 last February and will be featured in the album as well. Pink Tape is the follow-up to their 2020 album Eternal Atake, with which they overcame the sophomore slump by achieving their second Billboard 200 No. 1 album after their debut album "Luv is Rage 2" also achieved the feat. The acclaimed project sold 288,000 copies in its opening week and had three songs debut in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10, led by “Baby Pluto” at No. 6.

The album will feature 26 tracks and is a colossal lift from the “XO TOUR Llif3” superstar, who receives a handful of assists from their contemporaries such as Nicki Minaj on the track "Endless Fashion", Travis Scott on "Aye", Don Toliver on "Patience" among others. Uzi even explores uncharted territory which is the rock world and lands a collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon on “Werewolf" and the Japanese metal band BABYMETAL on "The End" thus ensuring a diverse set of songs for the listeners.

A four-minute visual for the album was released earlier this week which is a mixture of live-action and anime, with the artist as the main character, and sees an anime version of Uzi battle against an enemy who pulls off their famous $24 million USD forehead diamond and sends them into the live-action world. They end up on the streets of an Uzi-fied Tokyo (which also features a billboard for their world tour) and go on a journey to reclaim the diamond from the enemy, ending with an outro similar to anime shows.

Despite the album being in the works since 2020, the rapper officially announced the project's release window earlier this month only with the vibrant trailer and artwork. The album is now available to stream on all music platforms
