On Friday night in Bogota, Foo Fighters fans, such as Estero Picnic Festival attendees who waited to see Dave Grohl's band, when they heard the sad news of the death of Taylor Hawkins, had lasted 20 years.

The only official statement made by the group about the artist's departure was through their Twitter account, where, in addition to regretting the fact, they requested privacy and respect for their relatives.

"Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family. We ask that your privacy be treated with the utmost respect at this unimaginably difficult time," he published.

However, some Colombian media have uncovered few details about the final hours of Hawkins' life, as was the case with Semana magazine.

Where sources close to him told him that the artist had been on a march to the north of the Colombian capital for a few hours.

The inside was not right, where the third would be a presentation in a South American country.

In his absence, they went to look for him in his room at the Casa Medina Hotel. There they repeatedly knocked on his door, but, in the absence of a response, they opened and found him unconscious, they reported in that media outlet.

After the discovery, security officers of the gang contacted medical personnel who reached the hotel within minutes, and though they tried to revive it, it was too late.

About what happened in that journal, another witness reported that it was initially a disintegration due to altitude, as the Colombian capital is 2,600 meters above sea level.

"The paramedics arrived in an informal car. They came through the parking lot. We thought (the members of Foo Fighters) were going to leave for the show in Briseno. It was already 7:40 at night.

We thought it was a decomposition due to the height," the witness told Semna.

He then saw body surveying vehicles approaching Colombia, and realized that someone had died inside the hotel.

Although the authorities' version of the cause of Hawkins' death is not officially known, in the newspaper El Tiempo they indicated that, according to city police sources, one of the hypotheses pointed to the drummer's use of drugs.

"The cause of death is yet to be established, according to the accounts of relatives, the death can be linked to drug use.

Sijin laboratory and researchers immediately go to the scene of events to develop acts”, he quoted from the information received.

However, Alejandro Marin, one of Colombia's renowned music journalists, criticized the fact that the possibility was being talked about via a Twitter thread.

"Now don't start blaming the country because Taylor died in Colombia. If he died of an overdose, don't be such an asshole," he said.

The journalist was told on social networks that it was very difficult because of the stigma of the country, to which the journalist replied: “And the consumers (stereotypes) of Gringos were consumers then?  Don't screw around."
