India has logged 11,466 fresh Covid-19 cases and 460 deaths in the last 24 hours, which is 13.2 per cent higher than what was recorded on Tuesday.

India has registered 11,466 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which is 13.2 percent higher than what was recorded on Tuesday, according to the latest Union Health Ministry data. The fresh cases bring the total caseload to 3,43,88,579.


The total death toll has increased to 4,61,849 with 460 more fatalities reported in the country in the last 24 hours. India's active caseload stands at 1,39,683. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 955.


The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 6,409 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 982 cases, Tamil Nadu with 835 cases, West Bengal with 788 cases and Mizoram with 525 cases. At least 83.19 percent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 55.9 percent of the new cases.


Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (384), followed by Maharashtra with 27 daily deaths. A total of 11,961 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 3,37,87,047 across the country.

India's recovery rate now stands at 98.25 percent. India has administered a total of 52,69,137 doses in the last 24 hours, which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,09,63,59,208.


A total of 12,78,728 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
