Pt Usha has supported the BJP over farm laws

BJP Kerala Pt-Usha

Ahead of the elections, BJP is trying to woo prominent personalities to fight from the its side. After the metro man E Sreesharan joins Bharaitya Janta Party (BJP), the party is trying to woo Olympian and former athlete PT Usha.

Pt Usha has supported the BJP over farm laws and it is evident from her tweets that she has a leaning towards the party.

Usha had also condemned the tweets by Greta Thunberg after the Swedish girl extended her support to farmers protest. One of her tweets read, "We are proud of our own culture and heritage and are the true model of Democracy. Don't interfere in our internal matters, we know how to resolve our own issues because we are one and only nation in the world upholding UNITY IN diversity #indiaagainstpropaganda ."

As a part of its "Mission South" BJP wants to win Kerala but the state oscillates between Congress and Left.

Reportedly, BJP is likely to woo Hindu voters and those who are against entry of women to Sabrimala temple.

Rahul Gandhi is an MP from Kerala and if BJP proves its mettle in the state, it would spell troubles for Congress. Sources have been cited by News18 which refused to comment regarding Pt Usha joining BJP.
