In a horrific development, UP Police on Monday arrested a woman named Mehar Jahan for tormenting her husband. The Police took action after Mehar Jahan's video surfaced on social media sparking a massive uproar among netizens. As per reports, Mehar Jahan's husband himself exposed her by sharing the disturbing video with the UP Police. Mehar Jahan was arrested in UP's Bijnor for torturing her husband and burning his body parts with a cigarette after tying him up. Mehar Jahan was arrested by Seohara district police on May 5 following a complaint filed by her husband.
Now, Mehar Jahan's CCTV video is going viral on social media. In the viral Mehar Jahan video, the man can be lying shirtless on a bed with his both hands tied. All of a sudden, the woman jumped on his body and started to torment him. Mehar Jahan's viral video further showcases the woman burning her husband's body parts with a cigarette. Mehar Jahan's husband is Manan Zaidi. Manan alleged that Mehar drugged him, and tied his hands and legs before burning his body parts with a cigarette.
The husband provided police with CCTV footage from inside the house, which shows Mehar Jahan physically assaulting him, tying his hands and feet, and attempting to strangle him while sitting on his chest. Mehar Jahan's husband Manan Zaidi claimed he filed a complaint with the police earlier as well, accusing his wife of subjecting him to torment by administering intoxicants, tying his hands and feet, and subjecting him to abuse. On 29th April, Mehar Jahan reportedly made her husband Mannan Zaidi drink milk that was spiked with intoxicants. When the victim became unconscious, she tied his hands and legs and brutally tortured him.
The police registered a case against Mehar Jahan under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including attempted murder, assault, and torture, and have taken her into custody.
