Woman lodges complaint against choreographer Ganesh Acharya for compelling her to watch adult videos

Choreographer Ganesh Acharya has been accused of compelling a 33-year-old woman choreographer to watch adult videos and depriving her of work.

Woman has lodged a complaint against Ganesh Acharya at Maharashtra's Commisssion and Amboli Police Station. In her complaint, the choreographer mentioned she was asked to give a commission from her income to Acharya and watch adult videos.

Presently, Ganesh Acharya is working as General Secretary of the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association (IFTCA). Ever since Acharya became General Secretary of the association, has been tormeting complainant woman choreographer at the IFTCA.

The complainant has also blamed that since she did not agree to Acharya's terms and conditions, in vengeance he got her IFTCA membership suspended. The choreographer also issued a letter to other choreographers instructing them not to work with her, added woman complainant.

Earlier, veteran choreographer Saroj Khan accused Acharya of exploiting her dancers and using his position to demean the Cine Dancers Association (CDA). However, Acharya, averted the allegations made against by Khan.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai on January 17, Saroj Khan said, "I am just saddened that Ganesh wants to divide this association which is not good. He and his father were associated with this association. It is good that we have rejoined the federation because we have to take some steps."

This is not the first time that Ganesh Acharya has faced harassment charges. Tanushree Dutta had also striked at the choreographer for spreading "malicious rumours" about her and ruining her reputation.

Along with Nana Patekar, Tanushree had filed a complaint against Ganesh Acharya as well. He was the choreographer for the 2008 film Horn OK pleassss.
