US President Donald Trump on Thursday met the Google CEO Sundar Pichai and said that the global tech leader has assured him of Google's commitment towards the United states' military. Donald Trump had earlier accused Google of helping Chinese military on March 17.
Just met with @sundarpichai, President of @Google, who is obviously doing quite well," tweeted Donald Trump.
"He stated strongly that he is totally committed to the U.S. Military, not the Chinese Military," he added.

Google was also criticized by General Joseph Dunford who is a chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff alleging them of 'indirectly benefiting' China's military. He also urged the tech giants of the United States to step up the research on 5G wireless technologies as they were not reliant on the ones made by the Chinese innovations.
"Dominating 5G is 'in our national interest'," the general said.
The United States had been suspicious about the intentions of the Chinese tech giant Huawei and speculating a Chinese penetration into US Communications.
A productive discussion "investing in the future of the American workforce, the growth of emerging technologies and our ongoing commitment to working with the U.S. government" has taken place between Trump and Pichai, as reported by the news sources.
