A total of 165 cricketers are up for bidding out of which 104 are Indians and 61 are overseas’ cricketers. Out of these, 2 cricketers, namely Vrinda Dinesh and Kashvee Gautam will enter the annals of history and out of the Indian cricketers, these two were sold for over 1 crore to to UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants respectively.

Dinesh became the first cricketer to be sold for more than a crore, as she was sold to UP Warriorz for 1.3 crores INR. Vrinda Dinesh is considered to be a rising talent in the Karnataka Cricket Scene and has proved her mettle time and again in the women’s circuit.

Dinesh is 22 years old and has been making a name for herself in Karnataka women’s cricket circuit since an early age. She is a right-handed batsmen and was introduced to the top brass of cricket in the Under 23 category of the ACC emerging teams cup in Hong Kong. Vrinda was substituted for fast bowler S Yashashri as the latter suffered and injury keeping her from playing in the cup, and although she wasn’t initially selected to play, she quickly rose to the challenge scoring 36 runs over 29-balls, contributing to India’s emerging total of 127, which led them to win the match against Bangladesh. It is interesting to note that she got her shot because Muskan Malik’s kit did not arrive on time.

In a similar Kashvee Gautam surpassed Dinesh in the auction as she was sold at a whopping 2 crores to Gujarat Giants. Kashvee was the most expensive uncapped player at the auction until Annabel Sutherland was also sold for 2 crores to the Delhi Capitals.

Kashvee holds a record in the women’s circuit:

Kashvee is 20 years old and was born in Chandigarh, Punjab. Kashvee is right hand fast bowler and currently holds the record for scoring a hat-trick in the Chandigarh vs. Arunachal Pradesh match in U-19 category.
