“Yamla Pagla Deewana” Fame Actor Amit Mistry dies due to heart attack

Amit Mistry, who appeared in shows such as Tenali Rama and films such as Kya Kehna, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, 99, Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bey Yaar, and A Gentleman, died of a heart attack on Friday morning (April 23).

Amit Mistry, a well-known Gujarati star, died of cardiac arrest on the morning of April 23. The star, who played Devendra Rathod, the protagonist's uncle, in the Amazon Prime Video romantic drama Bandish Bandits, had previously appeared in films such as Kya Kehna, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, 99, Shor In The City, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Bey Yaar, and A Gentleman.



On Twitter, the Indian Film TV Producers Council announced the news, saying,"Shocking and Deeply Saddening news of one of the talented actor Amit Mistry passing away...Heartfelt condolence to family and friends..RIP."




Actress Kubbra Sait expressed sorrow on the sudden demise on Twitter, writing, "You’ll be missed on earth @Actoramitmistry  
Condolences to the family," along with a broken heart emoji.

Actor and comedian Vir Das revealed that he was ready to shoot a show with Amit Mistry and he was playing integral part in it, writing, "I was ready to start shooting a show that Amit Mistry is an integral part of. His talent, his insight were a thing to behold. We've lost a truly wonderful artist today. Rest in Peace."

family .. RIP #AmitMistry," Actress Tisca Chopra wrote, while Swanad Kirkire, shared, "Amit Mistry ? No ...this is unbelievable. He was an amazing Actor and a real happy soul."


Film producer Ashoke Pandit mourns over the sudden demise of the actor, writing, "I am shattered . Can’t believe this . A dear friend , a brilliant actor on stage , tv & cinema Amit Mistry expired due to cardiac arrest today.  This is no age to go Amit Speechless . My Heartfelt condolences to his family ."

Amit Mistry was featured in Tenali Rama, where he played Birbal, Star Plus show Ssshhh...Koi Hai, Sab TV's Maddam Sir and Sahara One's Shubh Mangal Savadhan among others.
