KGF2 Box Office Collection: After Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast, Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2 hit the screens on Thursday. Eagerly waiting Yash's fans finally saw Yash ruling the silver screen once again after years.
The film helmed by Prashanth Neel, the film sees Sanjay Dutt as Adheera and Raveena Tandon as Ramika Sen in pivotal roles. The film 'KGF 2' was received by the audience across the country.
From the shows of the film which started at 6 in the morning to the late-night shows, there was a huge crowd of spectators.
As per the initial trends, the Prashanth Neel directorial earned 134 crores on the first day of its release at the box office. Before the film's release, it was expected that KGF 2 may collect 45-50 crores at the box office for its Hindi version.
According to the initial figures, the film has set a new record on the first day's earnings in Hindi. The total earnings of the Hindi versions of the film released across the country have been around 63 crores.
The record for the highest opening day in Hindi cinema has so far been held by Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's film 'War', which earned Rs 53.25 crore on the day of its release.
The film 'RRR' Hindi earned only Rs 18 crore on the first day of release. Salman Khan's film 'Tiger Zinda Hai' has been left out of this list after making a place in the top 10 best openers of the film 'KGF 2'.
The film 'KGF 2' has earned a net of Rs 134 crores(approx) at the domestic box office on the first day including all Indian languages.
This earning is equal to the first day's earnings of Rajamouli's film 'RRR'. The booking of KGF2 had crossed the 20.25 crore mark. However, the booking of Rajamouli's RRR was reduced to 11 crores in Hindi.
KGF 2 has crossed the RRR in this respect. The film has also done great business across the country. KGF2 has touched the first day's net worth of SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'.
The film 'RRR' is a film made in about Rs 550 crores and the budget of the film 'KGF 2' is only one and a half hundred crores.
The release of Shahid Kapoor's Jersey film has also been postponed to April 22 given the demand for KGF 2 at the box office.
