21-year-old 'Fake' Lawrence Bishnoi arrested after he books cab to pick up gangster outside Salman Khan’s house

A 21-year-old student identified as Rohit Tyagi booked a cab under the name of Lawrence Bishnoi and entered the pick-up location outside Salman Khan's Bandra house

In a bizarre development, a 21-year-old BBA student was arrested by Mumbai Police for booking a cab under the name of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and entering a pick-up location outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Banda. The 21-year-old student identified as Rohit Tyagi booked a cab under the name of Lawrence Bishnoi and entered the pick-up location outside Salman Khan's Bandra house. The cab driver who was not aware of the gangster and Salman Khan's whereabouts, reached the location and started to ask people standing there whether they knew Lawrence Bishnoi. This alerted the security guard and cops posted there. On investigation, it was found out that the 21-year-old student played a prank, however, he was arrested by the Police.

 

A Police officer in the known development was quoted by a newswire saying, "When the society security guard inquired with the cab driver, he told them that his cab was booked by someone and he was asked to pick up Lawrence Bishnoi from the Galaxy Apartment and take him to his destination...The cab driver was not aware that the actor lived in the society, nor was he aware of the incident..We then with the help of the cab aggregator found the mobile number using which the cab was booked and picked up Rohit Tyagi from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh."

 

Tyagi was produced before a local court after being arrested and he was later sent to two days of Police remand. 

 

For the unversed, last Sunday, two shooters opened fire at Salman Khan's Galaxy apartment early morning. Later, jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol took responsibility for it. However, just two days later, Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested the shooters from Bhuj, Gujarat. 

 

Another suspect was arrested in Haryana on Wednesday night. Multiple reports quoted Police sources saying that this individual served as a liaison between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the shooters - Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21 - who are in police custody.  Sagar Kumar Palak, one of the two suspects, was allegedly provided with a gun just hours before the incident. However, the identity of the person supplying the weapon remains unknown. Both the accused are from West Champaran in Bihar and were arrested by Mumbai Police from the premises of a temple in Gujarat's Kutch district late Monday night.
