17-year-old Jalandhar's 'Differently abled' cricketer wows internet; earns shoutout from Mohammed Siraj

Differently Abled Leg Spinner, Differently Abled Cricketer Viral Video: It is said that if you have a true passion for doing something, nothing can hold you back. The saying seems true in the case of a 17-year-old cricketer from Jalandhar named Bikram. 17-year-old differently-abled cricketer Bikram has been selected for Punjab camp. Differently-Abled Cricket Council of Punjab Chief Arun Monty lavished praise on Bikram and said that he is a very good cricketer and hence will receive further training in the Punjab cricket camp. 

Bikram is a Class 11th student of the government-run Eminence School of Bhargav Camp. On November 15, a Differently abled national cricket tournament is being organised in which 24 states including Punjab is participating. It is expected that Bikram may represent Punjab in the upcoming national tournament. Bikram said, "I have been playing cricket for the past 7 to 8 years. I was interested in cricket since childhood. "

Bikram further said that he used to prepare the ground by clearing the garbage in a small plot near his house. "I kept playing with normal players in my neighborhood. I run on the cricket ground with one leg and one hand and bowl with my left hand. I don't have a coach, but the association is guiding me technically. I have a problem in batting but I am included in the team only as a bowler. When I take action during bowling, many times my hand touches the ground which causes me to get injured," revealed Bikram. 

Bikram's father Ashwani Kumar works in surgical equipment and his mother Mamta works in a hospital. 

It is pertinent to mention here that Bikram's cricket video has gone viral on Instagram. Many social media users are saluting the wonder boy from Jalandhar for continuing to play cricket. Even, Team India star bowler Mohammed Siraj shared his video on his Instagram handle and lauded his efforts.
