Yogi Adityanath is taking oath as the Chief Minister today after a spectacular return to power. Along with Yogi, 45 ministers will also take the oath.

Yogi Adityanath is taking oath as the Chief Minister today after a spectacular return to power on Friday at 04:30 PM. Along with Yogi, 45 ministers will also take the oath. In this, 22 old ministers will be repeated while 23 new faces are sure to be given a chance.  

There will be two deputy CMs. The first name is fixed of Keshav Maurya. While the names of Swatantra Dev Singh, AK Sharma and Baby Rani Maurya are leading for the second.  

Not only this, but 3 former IPS-IAS are also to be included in the cabinet. However, the BJP has not yet given any official information regarding the names and numbers of the ministers.

Professional touch on the lines of Modi Government

The maximum number in the Yogi cabinet is 60. That's why this time the cabinet has been kept small. So that, before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the caste equation can be reset as per the need.  

This time the Yogi cabinet has been given a professional touch on the lines of the Modi government at the Centre.

The names of such MLAs have been finalized for the ministerial post, who have caste equations and professional ability. For this, screening of biodata has been done at the high command level.  

One reason has also been that after the declaration of the result, it took 15 days to take the oath. This entire exercise has been done to win the Lok Sabha seats of UP in 2024.

22 old minister set to be repeated

Yogi's first government had 60 ministers. Just before the election, 3 ministers Swami Prasad Maurya, Dharam Singh Saini and Dara Singh Chouhan left the party.   


After the tickets of many ministers were cut, 42 ministers were fielded by the party. Of these, 11 were defeated. In Yogi 2.0, there is talk of repeating only 22 old ministers. Only the old ministers who fit in the performance, age, ethnic-regional equation have been given a chance again.

The new cabinet will surprise 23 new faces

In Yogi's new cabinet, this time in a surprising way, new faces have been given a chance. A glimpse of the Gujarat model will be visible in the new cabinet.

Prime Minister Modi has asked to make this time's cabinet keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.  

The PM has said that this should be the future cabinet of UP, which can work for the next 15 years. Given these things, the names of Aseem Arun and Rajeshwar Singh, who left the job of IPS and contested the elections, have been decided.

Apart from this, Arvind Kumar Sharma's name is final. Arvind, a close aide of PM Modi, left the job of IAS and became active in UP politics. He is presently the state vice-president of BJP. 

At the same time, the name of Aparna Yadav, the younger daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh and Aditi, who joined the BJP after rebelling against the Congress, is also almost certain.

Two from Apna Dal, One minister from Nishad Party

BJP has decided on two names from its ally, Apna Dal. The first name in this is Anupriya's husband Ashish Patel. While the second name has not been clarified yet. At present, Apna Dal S has emerged as the third-largest party in the UP Legislative Assembly.  

At the same time, Nishad Party President Dr Sanjay Nishad can also become a cabinet minister. His son Shravan Kumar Nishad, MLA from Chauri Chaura seat of Gorakhpur, has also been finalized to become a minister.
