'You are next': Harry Potter author JK Rowling receives death threat over tweet on Salman Rushdie

JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, has received death threats after Salman Rushdie, the well-known Indian-born British author. Because of a tweet she posted condemning the attack on Salman Rushdie, she has received a death threat. Rowling, 57, posted screenshots of the user's threat message on Twitter.

In response to Rushdie's stabbing, the author of the Harry Potter series tweeted that she was really sick and hoped the author would be okay. A user responded by writing: "Don't worry. You are next. "

The Twitter account that made the death threat had also supported Hadi Matar, the New Jersey attacker who stabbed Rushdie multiple times on Friday when he was attending a literary event in western New York.

Rushdie was stabbed on August 12 by Hadi in western New York state. His neck and eyes have both been severely injured.  Additionally, it's possible that one of his eyes is damaged. He was given a respirator. However, he is no longer on the ventilator.
