FASTag customers are urgently advised to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) process as per guidelines from the Reserve Bank of India, outdated FASTags will be deactivated and blacklisted on March 31. Payments will not be authorized even if there is balance left in the wallet.

 

As per the rules from the RBI, the NHAI has issued advisory to customers to urgently complete the KYC process to avoid facing any hassle in the FASTag facilities. Here are the steps to update the KYC online:

  • Visit the official FASTag Portal at fastag.ihmcl.com
  • Log In using your mobile number and One Time Password (OTP).
  • On the homepage, look for the ‘My Profile’ tab and click on the KYC tab.
  • Keep your vehicle registration certificate, driving license, address proof, identity proof, and a photograph handy.
  • Fill out all necessary information.

 

Here are the steps to update KYC through your bank’s portal:

  • Visit the bank’s official website that issued your FASTag and log in through your credentials.
  • Once logged in, look for the FASTag segment and then head to the KYC section.
  • Keep your vehicle registration certificate, driving license, address proof, identity proof, and a photograph handy.
  • Fill all the necessary information.
  • It is important to note that the FASTag is valid for 5 years meaning that its validity has to extended.
