If your Fastag is not verified by your bank then you may face heavy penalties because after 29th February unverified Fastags will be deactivated by banks even if your Fastag has money in it.
NHAI under the rules and regulations of RBI has asked Fastag customers to complete the KYC of their Fastags so that they can use their Fastags without any interruption. If you haven’t completed the KYC of your Fastag you must do it immediately in order to save yourself from penalties.
KYC details can be updated online by following these steps:
- Go to the dedicated customer web portal fastag.ihmcl.com and log in using your mobile number and password.
- Navigate to my profile located in the dashboard. There you can check your status on KYC.
- Click on KYC sub section
- Specify your Customer Type
- Complete the mandatory fields by providing the necessary documents and ID proof.
- Tick the declaration confirming the documents authenticity.
- Following this your KYC verification process will be finished in seven working days.
Here are the documents that you need to get your Fastag verified:
- Registration certificate of your vehicle
- Any ID proof
- Your address proof
- One passport size photo
