
O/o District Public Relations Officer, Jalandhar, December30 - In a bid to benefit the maximum population with the cashless healthcareservices up to Rs. Five lakh under Ayushman Bharat- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna,the Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today directed officials to set up 25mobile camps across the district.
Chairing a review meeting, the deputy commissioner said thatthese 25 camps would comprise ten mobile camps at various locations, 12 permanentcamps (for farmers) at market committee offices, one permanent camp at type-1Seva Kendra, and two other Seva Kendras in the city.
The deputy commissioner further appealed to people to carrytheir Aadhar Cards while visiting type-1 Seva Kendra or other governmenthealthcare establishments including CHCs, Sub Divisional Hospitals, and thedistrict hospital so that the benefit of on-spot enrolment and e-cardgeneration could be given to them. He said that for getting e-cards, the personmust carry an Aadhar card, PAN Card, ration card or registered constructionworker card, journalist id (yellow and accreditation cards), and farmer id(having J forms). The deputy commissioner further directed the officials ofservice provider company Vidal Health Insurance TPA to immediately set up campsat the given locations.
Terming AB-Serbat Sehat Bima Yojna a game-changer scheme,the deputy commissioner said that people could avail the benefit of cashlesstreatment up to Rs. 5 Lakh at government and impaneled hospitals.
Divulging more, he said all 13 government healthinstitutions and 56 private hospitals have been impaneled in the districtadding the list of impaneled hospitals that could be viewedat sha.punjab.gov.in. The scheme offers 1579 packages to the beneficiariesincluding 180 packages were reserved for public hospitals of which 25 packageswere referable to private hospitals.
The deputy commissioner said that people holding NFSA rationcards, construction workers, SECC beneficiaries, small traders, journalists,and J-farm holder farmers are eligible under the scheme adding thebeneficiaries could check their eligibility at sha.punjab.gov.in, whileall PMJAY families as per Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011(Blue card holderfamilies), can check the same at bis.pmjay.gov.in
Thori clearly stated that the vendor company was chargingnominal fees worth Rs. 30 to enroll and generate e-cards while CHCs, districthospital, and sub-divisional hospitals providing these services free of cost.He asked SDMs and Civil Surgeon to keep a check on the functioning ofCSCs.
The deputy commissioner also asked SDMs and the healthdepartment to hold meetings with Municipal Councillors, BDPOs, and CSCs headfor smooth enrolment in the CSCs, public and empaneled private hospitals.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner reviewed the progress ofissuing UDID cards to specially-abled persons. He asked health officials toensure 100 percent disposal of applications under this scheme adding hedeployed 15 operators at the disposal of the health department to streamlineand expedite the generation of UDID cards.
The deputy commissioner reviewed the progress of the UrbanEnvironment Improvement Program (UEIP) phase-2 and directed officials of urbanlocal bodies to ensure ground-level commencement of works within the stipulatedtime frame. He said that the district administration has received Rs. 126 Croreof which tenders of works worth Rs. 112 Crore have been floated.
