Karima Begum, mother of musician AR Rahman, is no longer in this world. She was running sick for the past few months. Confirming this news, Rahman shared a photo of his mother Karima on his social media.
Kareema Begum was the wife of famous music composer RK Sekhar who passed away in 1976 and is survived by her daughters AR Reihana, Ishrath Qadri, Fathima Shekhar apart from Rahman. On 28 December, she breathed her last in Chennai. Karima Begum's last rights will be held today, for which a crowd of people have started outside Rahman's house.
