Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner urges residents to take Covid seriously as number of patients are increasing

District Administration Ludhiana is all set to organise special vaccination camps across the district to ensure 100 percent inoculation of people to keep Covid-19 virus at bay. In a video message, Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik called upon Ludhianvis to join hands with the district administration in this mammoth drive aimed at protecting residents from the ill-effects of this virus. 

She said that special vaccination camps would be held across the district to ensure that all the population have received both the doses of the vaccination as currently around 82 percent eligible beneficiaries have received the second dose. 

She appealed to people, especially parents, to bring their children aged between 12 and 17 to these camps so that no one is left without the jab. She also said that special camps were also being held at industrial houses to ensure 100 percent inoculation of the workforce here.
 
The DC said that the situation is completely under control but all of us need to stay alert especially amid rising cases of fresh Covid-19 infections, thereby it was need of the hour to ensure maximum vaccination to keep ourselves from this virus. She also exhorted people to adopt Covid appropriate behavior as precautionary measure by avoiding intermingling with people at crowded places. 

The DC further added that the administration was keeping close watch over the current scenario so that preventive measures could be taken in-time to ensure safety of precious lives of people. She said that the ongoing battle against this virus can only be won over with collective efforts of the society; hence we should stay vigil to emerge victorious out of this war.


She also held a meeting with representatives from government and private hospitals and urged them to remain vigilant as the number of Covid cases is i
ncreasing.
