In a shocking incident in the Maharashtra town of Sangli, an ATM machine was stolen in an unusual manner. A JCB machine was used to steal an ATM machine in Maharashtra's Sangli, as seen on CCTV footage. Around midnight on Saturday, an ATM machine from AXIS bank was stolen in Sangli's Miraj neighbourhood.
The incident went viral on social media, and it was dubbed "Money Heist 2023" by the internet. The strange incident was recorded on CCTV installed inside the ATM booth.
While some found the incident amusing, others blamed unemployment for the robbery, claiming that unemployment and hunger are two factors that drive people to commit crimes.
A man is seen entering the ATM and then abruptly exiting it in the CCTV footage that captured the crime. Following that, a JCB machine is seen smashing the ATM's glass door. The ATM machine was also stolen with the assistance of the JCB. Inspector Chandrakant Bedre, in charge of the Miraj Gramin Police Station, stated that the ATM machine stolen on the intervening night of April 22-23 belongs to AXIS Bank.

It's not the first time thieves have used unusual methods to steal something. A video of a thief dancing after robbing a hardware store in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district went viral on social media just last week. The incident occurred near the Superintendent of Police's home. Anshu Singh, the shop owner, stated that the thief took all of the cash and also stole goods worth thousands of rupees. When Singh opened his shop after seeing the broken shutter and went through the CCTV footage, the accused was apprehended.
