Resident Evil Season 1 Review on Netflix: Netflix's Resident Evil series season 1 review is spoiler free. The wait has been a bit long for video game fans. While the series began development in 2019, it wasn't until 2020 that Netflix officially announced Resident Evil. And like many other shows, the Covid-19 pandemic slowed things down for eight months. But was it worth the wait? Something.

First off, while Resident Evil takes its name from the horror game series, it takes place in its universe. However, it doesn't stray too far from the game and uses the opening story for much of its inspiration. It is divided into two different timelines: one in 2022 before the outbreak and one in 2036 when the impact of the T-Virus is fully effective. For the first set of episodes, the 2022 timeline is undoubtedly more substantial in terms of entertainment, story development, and characters. But as the series progresses and Resident Evil naturally leans more towards the 2036 timeline, the quality of the two timelines begins to match up.

One of the weaknesses of Resident Evil is that various characters come and go throughout the series. eight episodes. For some of the characters that are gone so quickly, it's hard to relate to them. And as a result, it's hard to worry about them leaving or, in some cases, dying. In saying that though, the character development between the two sisters, Jade and Billie, is one of Resident Evil's greatest strengths, so much so that I'll go on to say that their relationship is the best part of the show.

Another strength of Resident Evil, and one aspect some shows don't get credit for, is the use of references to music and pop culture in the 2022 timeline. we've been through, but the character issues feel much more real. And the use of current songs makes Resident Evil's meltdown feel like something that could happen in the real world.

While each episode was said to be an hour long, most episodes don't exceed 50 minutes. brand, although in many ways that work better. The story of Resident Evil may not be complete (mainly because the show's creators likely want to return for a second season), but if the episodes had been much longer, it might have fatigued a lot of the show's viewers a lot. before the season finale.

On the whole, though, Resident Evil is a respectable watch. While many popular video game-based shows/movies have flopped, this series is entertaining enough to warrant watching all eight episodes. So if you are a fan of the game franchise, you might as well try watching the series. More importantly, he could easily return for a second season. And with Lance Reddick playing one of the lead roles, how wrong could you be?
