Samrat Prithviraj Review: Why you should watch THIS movie, did Akshay's film perform better than 'Vikram'?

Samrat Prithviraj Review: Akshay Kumar's film 'Samrat Prithviraj' released on Friday. The film also stars former Miss World Manushi Chillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in important roles. This is Manushi's debut film. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film is based on the famous poem Prithviraj Raso by Chand Bardai. 

In this film, Akshay Kumar is seen in the role of Emperor Prithviraj. At the same time, Manushi played the role of his wife Sanyogita in the film. The film also stars Manav Vij, who is impressing everyone with the powerful romance of Mohammad Ghori. The casting of the film has been done very carefully. Every artist appeared to be doing justice to his character. If you are making up your mind to watch the film, then you must watch this film once.

The film was appreciated by the critics. However, there were also speculations that the film might have a slow start as booking and then ticket sales for the morning shows were low. Kamal Haasan's big-budget film 'Vikram' also knocked on May 3 along with Akshay Kumar's 'Samrat Prithviraj'. The initial figures of the box office collection of both the films have come. On an opening day, 'Vikram' is far ahead of Akshay Kumar's film 'Samrat Prithviraj'. 

'Emperor Prithviraj' was seen lagging 'Vikram' on the very first day itself. It was a matter of relief that it touched the double-digit figure. According to the English website Bollywood Life, Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar's film has collected 12 to 14 crores. If we look at the huge budget of the film, then it should have earned at least 6 to 8 crores more. The film saw a slow start in the morning but by the afternoon it picked up the pace. There may be slight variations in these till the final figures come.

Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Faasil. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Looking at the box office collection of 'Vikram', 'Samrat Prithviraj' was left far behind. Kamal Haasan's film has done a business of 40 to 50 crores on the first day. The film has gotten off to a great start. It was already being speculated about 'Vikram' that its bumper opening is going to happen.
