Bollywood queen KanganaRanaut has released the first teaser of her directorial epic, ‘Emergency’,where she is portraying former PM, Indira Gandhi, and her tales during, whatmany consider to be the darkest hour of Indian Democracy, The Emergency. In theteaser launched earlier in the day, Kangana can be seen donning the persona of theformer PM, with her spectacles and the cotton saree that epitomize one of Indira’scharacteristics. It will be too early tosay, how Kangana will fare with the role of the dynamic leader, Indira what shehas been throughout her life.
Kangana wrote while sharing the clip on her Instagramhandle, “Presenting ‘Her’, who was called ‘Sir’ #Emergency shoot begins.” In thevideo, Kangana can be seen responding to her secretary over the question thelatter asks whether she would like to be addressed as ‘Mam’ by US presidentRichard Dixon, in place of the usual ‘Sir’. She said, “Ok, it is fine, but tellthe US president that she is addressed as ‘Sir’ in her office.”
