Directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai, 120 Bahadur is a an epic war-drama inspired by true story of the Battle of Rezang La. During the Battle of Rezang La, 120 Indian Army Jawans fought bravely against 3000 Chinese Army personnel.

Born in 1924 in a Rajput family of Bhati clan in Banasar village, Jodhpur; Major Shaitan Singh Bhati hailed from Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army. He took part in the Naga Hills and also in the 1961 Indian annexation of Goa.
During the China-Indian War, 13th Battalion of Kumaon Regiment was stationed in the Chushul sector. C Company, under the command of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, was holding a position at Rezang La.
During the morning hours of 18 November 1962, the Chinese attacked. After several unsuccessful attacks from the front, the Chinese cowardly attacked from behind.
The Indian Army Jawans fought until their last rounds. During the battle, Major Bhati continuously moved from post to post bolstering defence and boosting the morale of his men.
As he moved between the posts without any cover, he was seriously wounded, and later becoming a martyr.
