Marvel on Thursday dropped the official trailer of Wonder Man and as expectedly it started buzzing among fans on social media. Created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, Wonder Man has raised many eyebrows as Marvel has introduced a new superhero in the MCU universe.
Going by the trailer it can be said that Wonder Man is a comedy-superhero drama that will see the return of Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery.
For those who have forgotten the character of Trevor Slattery was first introduced in Iron Man 3. He played the role of a terrorist named Mandrin. However, in the end it was found that Trevor was not a terrorist but an actor used by Hammer Industries against Iron Man.
Now, the question arises are Wonder Man and Wonder Woman linked to each other?
The answer is no. Despite similar names, Wonder Man and Wonder Woman are not linked to each other in any way. While Wonder Man is a superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Wonder Woman is the creation of DC. The only similarity between them is the initial between the two i.e. 'Wonder'.
According to reports, Wonder Man has superhuman strength, speed, flight, invulnerability, and stamina, with abilities to project energy blasts, form constructs, and manipulate electromagnetic fields.
On the other hand, Wonder Woman is also a superhuman but she has derived her power from the Greek Gods. In the DC universe, Wonder Woman is played by actress Gal Gadot.
Marvel's latest Wonder Man will start streaming Disney Plus on January 27, 2026. In India, the eight-episode series will drop on JioHotstar in India on January 27, 2026.
It features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams / Wonder Man, Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Arian Moayed as Agent Cleary, Zlatko Burić as Von Kovak, and more in the key roles.
