The acclaimed Indian crime-drama series Delhi Crime is set to make a compelling return. Streaming giant Netflix has officially announced that Season 3 of the Emmy-winning show will premiere on 13 November 2025.
Season 3 picks up the intensity and stakes by plunging into a chilling investigation of a nationwide human-trafficking network. The story is triggered when an abandoned baby is found a discovery that launches a relentless pursuit stretching beyond Delhi and into the darker corners of society.
Leading the charge is DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, portrayed by Shefali Shah, who returns to helm her team through this morally and emotionally fraught case. She remarks that the season feels “deeply personal”, pointing out that human trafficking is “not the act of a few; it’s a symptom of a society that looks the other way but Vartika keeps fighting anyway.”
Making her ominous entrance this season is Huma Qureshi as “Meena,” also known as “Badi Didi” a powerful figure whose empire exploits young girls, and whose past trauma both haunts and empowers her. The creative team promises a collision of forces: the upright law-officers versus a deeply wound antagonist whose methods and motives blur the line between victim and perpetrator.
Also returning is the strong supporting cast that has helped define the series’ tone: Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh, Rajesh Tailang as Inspector Bhupendra Singh, along with other familiar faces. New additions include Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht and Kelly Dorji, bolstering the ensemble for what is billed as “the most thrilling case yet”.
The series, produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, has earned praise for its meticulous direction, gritty realism and emotional depth. Having already won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020 for its first season, the show returns with heightened expectations.
