Dhurandhar has been making waves in India and across the world. Even after 10 days of its release, Dhurandhar is witnessing a massive footfall in theaters. Created by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is inspired by true events that revolve around Karachi's Lyari Gang War and how gangsters, politicians, and Pakistan's Intelligence ISI work hand-in-hand against India.
It features Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari whose real name is Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
Dhurandhar 2 will be released in theaters on March 19, 2026 and going by the end of Dhurandhar, it will showcase Ranveer Singh's character Jaskirat Singh Rangi's transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari.
Ranveer plays Hamza Ali Mazari whose real name is Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi in Dhurandhar. He was planted by Indian Intelligence officer Ajay Sanyal played by R Madhavan under project named 'Operation Dhurandhar'. Ajay Sanyal's character is said to be inspired by India's current National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Notably, a scene from Aditya Dhar's movie Uri has gone viral on social media. In one of the scenes of Uri it was revealed that Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi was an officer of Indian Army from Punjab Regiment. Captain Rangi was martyred in the Naushera Sector during an ambush by terrorists.
However, it is still a theory that fans are making on social media. The reality behind Jaskirat Singh Rangi will be unveiled in Dhurandhar 2.
Ajay Sanyal's Project Dhurandhar was based on hiring Indians who are awaiting death sentence or lodged in prison for life. However, the above mentioned theory suggest that Jaskirat Singh Rangi was an Indian Army officer of Punjab Regiment.
