New Year 2026 has started with the release of much-awaited war-drama movie Ikkis in India. Ikkis was released in theaters on January 1 and early reviews have started to come in. While the movie is receiving mixed reviews, Ikkis is said to be the last movie of late Bollywood actor Dharmendra.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is based on true story of Battle of Basantar that took place during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Ikkis tells the story of Param Veer Chakra Awardee- Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who was martyred at the age of 21.
The movie features Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sikander Kher, Simar Bhatia, and more in the key roles. Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson plays the character of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.
